Mr. Wilson Edward Newman, age 88, of Ripley passed away Tuesday, May 3,2022 at Harbor View Health and Rehab in Dyersburg, TN. Mr. Wilson was born August 12,1933 in Curve, TN. He is the son of the late James Harvey and Alberta Yancey Newman. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired employee of Magnetec in Ripley. He is survived by his wife: Betty (Jester) Newman two sons: Dennis Newman of Gates, TN, and Johnathan Newman of Troy, OH. He leaves three sisters, Lil Hunt of Gates, TN, Bessie Mae Barlow of Curve, TN and Bertie Sue Morrow of Mobile, AL, and one brother Thomas Newman of Halls, TN. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, May 7 at Curve Baptist Church, 87 Woodville Rd, Ripley, TN with Bro. Lynn King officiating. Burial will be in Woodville Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday, May 6 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN.
