Mrs. Shelby Jean Scallions, age 81, of Ripley passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022.Mrs. Shelby was born March 15,1940 in Ashport, TN. She is the daughter of the late John and the late Margaret (Butler) Townsend. She was a retired Factory Employee and a member of Curve Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Shelby is survived by one daughter: Marilyn Garrison of Halls, TN, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband James William Scallions. The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 5 at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN with Bro. Lynn King officiating and burial to follow in concord cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 4 from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN.
