Mike Mathis

Kenneth Michael “Mike” Mathis, age 70, of Halls passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital of Jackson, TN. Mike was born December 13, 1951 in Crockett County. He is the son of the late Leland Lofton and the late Bobbie Lee (Lovelace) Mathis. Mr. Mike was a retired factory employee of S & R in Ripley. He is survived by his lovely wife: Elizabeth (Broyles) Mathis of Halls, TN two daughters: Mary Ellen (Ralf) Webster, Stacy (John) Walton and one son: Craig Prater, all of Halls, TN; Brother of one sister: Judy (Danny) George of Friendship, TN and one brother: Buck (Robin) Mathis of Halls, TN. Mr. Mike also leave behind 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren whom he loved and cherished. The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Poplar Grove CP Church, 492 Church Rd., Halls, TN with Bro. Johnnie Welch officiating. Burial will follow the service in Poplar Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 15 from 12:00 noon until service time at Poplar Grove CP Church.
