Lanny Allen Sellers

Landrum Allen “Lanny” Sellers, age 69, of Henning passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Methodist North Hospital of Memphis, TN. Lanny was born August 31,1952 in Lauderdale Co. He is the son of the late Woodrow and the late Bernice (Ellis) Sellers. He is married to Mary Hammock Sellers, who survives him. Lanny worked on a river boat for over 47 years, retiring as a Captain. Along with his wife, Lanny leaves behind two daughters: Sherry Sellers of Ripley, TN., Tina (Danny) Hartsfield of Henning, TN, and one son: Terry Sellers of Henning, TN. He is also survived by two sisters: Elaine Edwards of Memphis, TN and Sharon Mooney of Ripley, TN, and a brother: Jimmy Sellers of Ripley, TN. He also leaves five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Lanny was preceded in death by two sisters: Glenda Simpson, Carol Williams, and a brother, Gary Sellers. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, May 6 at Faith United Methodist Church, 8301 TN-87, Henning, TN with Bro. Jim Payton officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery, 10 Faye Barfield Rd. Henning, TN. Calling hours will be Friday, May 6 from 9:00 am until service time at Faith United Methodist Church.
