Gloria Ann Clendenin, age 70, of Halls died Saturday, July 14, 2018 at The Med of Memphis, TN. Gloria was born August 5, 1947 in Dyersburg, TN. She is the daughter of the late Elmer and the late Viola (Conklin) Sawyers. She was married to the late Joe Clendenin. She was a retired administrative secretary for the Dyer County School System. She is survived by a daughter, Lori (Mark) Darty of Collierville, TN and a son, Jimmy (Hope) Clendenin of Halls, TN. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Colin(Caitlyn) Clendenin, Evan Darty and Anna Darty and a great-grandson Levi Clendenin. Gloria also leaves a special family friend Marty Richardson. The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 19 at Beech Grove Baptist Church, Dyersburg, TN with Bro. Jerrell Dawson officiating. Burial will be in Halls Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 18 from 5 - 8pm at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN. .In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to the Joe Clendenin Memorial Scholarship C/O Johanna Carmack 800 W. Tigrett St. Halls Tn, 38040.
