Buford Lynn “Chic” Goforth, age 67, of Ripley passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022 at his home. Chic was born November 1, 1954 in Lauderdale County. He is the son of the late William Buford Goforth and the late Vernell Moore. He was a Farmer. Chic is survived by one daughter: Charlotte Langley of Memphis, TN and two sons: Bubba (Sherrie) Langley of Halls, TN and Buddy Langley of Ripley, TN, brother of two sisters: Linda Moore and Patsy Decker, and two brothers: Ronnie and Donald Goforth. He was preceded in death by his son, Buford Lynn Goforth Jr.; five brothers, Albert, Jimmy, Charley, Bobby, and Jasper Goforth, and a sister, Agnes Green. Chic also leaves 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 22 at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN with Bro. Donnie Reed officiating burial will follow in Mary's Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, May 22 from 12pm until 2pm at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN 38040.
