Our History

Our History

The history of Halls Funeral Home spans over a century.  Thousands of families have been served over the years through our homes in Halls, Friendship, Ripley, and Henning.  In 1889 a funeral home was started in Friendship, TN. At it's inception, Sudbury's Funeral Home was owned and operated by Roy and Hassie Sudbury. It was during this time many changes occurred. Locations were added in Halls, Henning and Ripley.  In 1982 Ms. Hassie Sudbury, owner of Sudbury Funeral Home passed away.  It was then in 1983 that Barry White and Noel Sherrod purchased and established what is now known today as Halls Funeral Home.  The fall of 2006 brought about another season of change to Halls Funeral Home.  Ty Brasfield along with his wife Tammy purchased the funeral home from Noel Sherrod at his retirement.  Since its' beginning, the mission and purpose  of Halls Funeral Home remains. "To provide sincere and compassionate service to all families. Treating them as we would our own families."
